There is a pending trade n my league.
Team A gets Anquan Boldin and S Jackson
Team B gets Dominick Davis and Darrel Jackson

The trade was accepted when Team B (and A) knew that DJax was out for a week, but not a month.

Should this trade be vetoed, or is it sjust bad luck?

BTW, a few years back, when Team B's owner was the commish, he would not veto my trade for William Green when Green was stabbed in the back and caught w/ drugs while the trade was pending.

just wondering what yall thought
life is like a box of chocolates. . .

When you make a trade you take risks. Esp with an injured player - you accept the risk that he may be out longer than initially thought. The price that you pay for him should take into account that risk. High risk players cost less due to that risk. Just b/c the owner getting DJax is upset that DJax's value has declined is not a good reason to veto a trade.

Let it go through.

You have to let it go through. Once a trade is accepted it's a done deal.

Agreed. Especially if BOTH teams thought he was out for a week. But either way, it is always your responsibility to do your homework on your trades, and know what you're getting. If the news is available to one player, it's available to another. If it wasn't known that DJax was going to be out for a month, then that doesn't weigh into that trade at all, except to say that the team receiving him KNEW he was injured, and that always carries some potential trouble.

Yeah there really is nothing wrong with this trade. It's not like Djax is done for the year either. Let that go through.

As was previously said, trades are all about risks, some times itpays off, some times it won't.

I am in the same position (getting Jackson and Palmer in a trade) and while I am pissed, it has not even occurred to me to seek a reversal. I made the trade knowing about his bone bruise (1 week) and now will just have to live with the extra time loss. I wouldn't ask for a veto, and I would not give one to any other owner in the same position.

The guy getting Djax was going to be without him 2 of the next 4 weeks anyway because of bye.

But all that doesn't matter. Any player can get hurt (or be hurt worse) 5 minutes after any trade.

As far as I am concerned, the trade is enacted one both parties agree. The review period is to allow other league members to have an opportunity to prevent collusion.

It is up to the parties involved to do their homework on players. Anything can happen to any player at any time. That's the inherent risk with any player. If you accept a trade, and one of the players you are receiving gets eaten by a shark 2 minutes later, that's your problem.

It should not be vetoed.

Agreed. Anything - good or bad - that happens after a trade is agreed upon is fate. At that point, it's just as if something happens to a player who's already on your roster.
