assuming that the packers sign him and that driver and ferguson are out for a significant amount of time, does anyone think he will be a viable fantasy option? i have kevin johnson and derrius thompson (who were basically spectators in week 1) and think that freeman could at least be a temporary improvement over these guys. what do the rest of you think?

If the Pack do pickup Freeman, he's gonna be rusty. Walker will be the man next week. I don't think Freeman would be a better play than Thompson.

There's a reason why Freeman hasn't been signed until now...remember Herman Moore?

he hasn't been picked up so far b/c he has refused to sign with anyone. he wants to play on a team where is at least #3wr. last year, there were only three #3 wr with better #'s. plus he is completely familiar with the Packers offense, seeing as how he played in it for 7 years. he may be rusty, but i still think that he will surprise some people.

If Freeman stands any chance of recapturing some of his old charm (and numbers)....it will only be on a familiar Packer offense with a quarterback he was married to for years.
If he signs a Packer contract....he will steal stats ....
the question is..... how much ?

Personally I dont believe Javon Walker fans should consider selling the farm just yet ....or at all.

Last I heard the Pack was in serious negotiation with Freeman. He knows their system, and if he signs, may be worth a start against an inferior Lions secondary.
