Oct 10 Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports New Orleans Saints RB Deuce McAllister (knee) had an initial test on his injured knee, which showed a torn ACL. He will have a second opinion before deciding definitely on the season-ending surgery. All indications are that the Saints will have to continue without him for the remainder of the year.

I think Stecker's kinda banged up going into that game.

He's listed as the #2...who knows though.

It's officially Stecker as #2 and Smith as #3.

Personally I'm thinking of gambling on Smith as I've never been impressed with Stecker.

Damn, I've got Deuce on two teams this year.

Antowain Smith will take over as the Saints starting running back indefinitely.
With Deuce McAllister out for the season, Smith is worth owning in all leagues. Just don't expect him to be a quality option. The Saints were a below-average rushing team with Deuce and Smith is averaging 2.8 yards-per-carry this season. With their defense a joke, we doubt he'll get a chance to pile up many yards. Aaron Stecker will also be a factor when he returns. Oct. 10 - 1:38 pm et

2 sites have stecker as #2 which is throwing me off big time... but rotoworld says it's smith i guess. wonder if that's just cuz stecker is injured for now

BREAKING NEWS

Pro Bowl RB Deuce McAllister had an MRI performed on his ailing right knee and the prognosis is NOT good, according to FoxSports.com. The test has shown a torn ACL, meaning McAlister will miss the rest of this season.

Fantasy Impact: High.
This could likely end many owners' fantasy seasons. McAllister was clearly a first round pick in 99% of fantasy drafts nationwide. This news hurts both the Saints and his owners. Antowain Smith and Aaron Stecker are listed behind McAllister on the Saints' depth chart at running back, but chances are the Saints will be scouring the waiver wire for some more help. Smith had 12 carries for 36 yards in Sunday's loss to Green Bay.

Oh my god this is devastating to my team if this is true. Stecker and Smith both are pretty bad too :/.
