Award for Most Annoying Coach

One of the most annoying things for us Fantasy Football junkies is when we can't get good information/news on players because of a coach's policy or way of handling the press.

I think we should nominate several coaches who have gone above and beyond in either misleading us or witholding information.

I nominate:

1) Mike Shanahan - For years, Shanahan has been the undisputed king of the RBBC or weird RB motivational philosophy or whatever the heck he has done with his drafting, starting and media comments regarding his running backs.

2) Bill Bilichick - The Patriots are an information vacuum and this seems to stem from the guy at the helm. If a player on the Pats is hurt, the rest of the world has no idea what the injury is and whether it will cause the player to miss time. Awesome coach, but he seems to censor all the information that we would want to hear.


Who are your nominees?

We should declare a winner after all evidence has been compiled and then we shall build an effigy of that coach, pour on some kerosine and shoot a flare gun at it.

hmmm i'll take mike tice FTW. his backfield decisions are annoying his coaching decisions on a whole are annoying.the list goes on and on.

I always thought Andy Reid kept pretty quiet.

EDIT: Yeah Mike Tice is a nightmare.

I guess we should expand this beyond information hiding and playing with starting lineups, just so we can include Tice, Martz and some of the other knuckeheads that screw with Fantasy football.

Martz because he is the most annoying coach...not necesarily fantasy wise but the rams shud be winning games and as a rams fan u have to hate the guy

Gruden and Cowher.

They will blame losses on everything including the Jet Stream, Global Warming, and Bird Migration.

Steve Mariucci - His coachspeak is perfect - meaning he says little and nothing can be interpreted - as a fan its maddening. He never seems to lose his temper - and when he does, it just seems to be internalized, like instead of spouting off he just looks red and flustered. He cannot/refuses to fire up his players. His offensive scheme is terrible and his playcalling is worse. He refuses to adjust his scheme to the players he has (drafts 3 bigtime WRs then sticks with a dink and dunk offensive strategy). As a Lions fan, Steve Mariucci is my vote for most annoying coach.

It looke like Mr. Martz might be leaving the scene for a while. So I hope he stays healthy in his personal life. Meanwhile maybe there's one less annoying coach candidate.
