Thomas Jones is the man in Chicago

For those still thinking Benson will take over think again.Jones is faster and right now so much better then Benson.Chicago has a chance to make the play offs.
i told everyone in my league at the start of the season TJ would easily rush for 1000 yards.Last year he had no QB and they stacked the line against him.This year his QB sucks still but he has Mushin Muhhammed as a deep threat.

I totallty agree. I watched the whole game, and Thomas Jones continues to be the only bright spot from week to week for the Bears.. He is in absolutely no danger of losing his job to Benson as long as they are in the division hunt, and in that crappy division they will be in the hunt most likely the entire season.

He's also a guy who hasn't made it through a season in 5 years and just hurt his knee. Will have to see how that one plays out...

Barring injury he will get the VAST majority of the carries. Benson has not looked good when he's been in and Peterson is a career backup. In the NFC North the Bears will be in the hunt until week 10 even if they don't win another game. The only thing to worry about is his knee injury, although I'd be very surprised if it keeps him out for more than one week.

I just read on benmaller.com that he may miss next weeks game due to a stretched knee ligament.

I agree if healthy he is the man in Chicago.

They will have to put TJones in jail to keep him out of the game. There is no way he sits on the sidelines and gives Benson a shot unless he has a broken leg.

If the Bears coaches think they're risking worsening the injury by playing Jones, they will not play him whether Jones likes it or not. They'd be fools to do any differently.

Both Benson and Peterson were underwhelming last week, Peterson had the one good run then knocked the ball out of Orton's hands trying to block on a blitz. Benson was ineffective but for whatever reason Jones seemed to have the holes and Benson didn't.

The MRI revealed a stretched LCL. IOW, partially torn but not completely torn. I agree that Jones is the better option right now but if this turns into a 3 or 4 week injury and Benson does well I don't see how they go back to Jones.
