I know this game is going to need a fresh thread for this.

What I want to know is how they spotted that ball inside the one at the end when he clearly fumbled it WAY backwards.

I also thought that you could not stop the clock with a fumble out of bounds in the last minute, otherwise everyone would just intentionally fumble it out of bounds to stop the clock.

That is TOTALLY bogus.

Not sure on all the rules, and I'll reserve judgement on that until I can find out for sure. However I don't think anyone can deny that was an absolutely great game.

bad call by the refs... obviously ND got screwed. That ball flew back more than 2 yds...

ND should have stopped them on 4th and 9, but losing to a bad call like that is hard.

Great game but ND got screwed with the spot after the fumble. There's no way they go for the sneak if it was spotted correctly. I'd hate to be the Irish kicker right now that late missed FG was crucial.

if the ball was marked on the right spot then USC was just gonna kick a field goal, tie game.

they had a lot of guts faking the spike and going for the td with no timeouts.

also ND had Leinhart stopped at first, but he still managed to get in.

the fact is, ND had the chance to stop USC on their last drive but didnt.

Also, the fact that Reggie Bush pushed Leinart into the endzone is a personal foul itself (although this rule is never enforced).

That being said, Bush should get the Heisman, he is the reason they won today. (well, that and the fumble marked inside the 1)
