That 2nd trade is certainly not vetoable by any means. Here's what I see:
Team B wants to improve his WRs beyond TO. Donald Drive and Derrick Mason are more appealing than Mussin alone. McMichael for Cooley is compensation, but could also be a sell high buy low on Team B's part. You can't expect Randy to keep his pace. Griese and McNair for Eli is this owner selling Eli to get two players he can run matchups with instead of relying on the unproven McCown or the one week standout so far, Eli. Perry and Vinatieri (the guy has Rackers) are throw ins to sweeten the deal. Heck, Vinatieri even has the same bye week as Casay so, team A will have to drop one of those quality kickers eitherway.
Its more than logical for Team B to make this move. If you ask me, the first trade is much more lopsided. However, if it happened before Foster was hurt, when Lloyd looked to be a great sleeper pick, and before Plaxico's huge game, it wouldn't look as lopsided as it does now.
Ultimately, there's no evidence of cullusion, and especially as you say these guys are your friends, I think you need to give them the benefit of the doubt and have a little trust in them not to cheat you and everyone else in the league.
