Hmm... cheeting? what should I do?

Moderator: Football Moderators

What should I do?

Try to get this trade vetoed and let both owners know if they try this again I'll straight up castrate them.

Hmm... cheeting? what should I do?

Ok. So there's these two teams in my league and there's beginning to be a history between the two.

A few weeks ago, both teams pulled off this trade:

Team A got:
Peyton Manning
Plaxico Burress
Ruddi Johnson

Team B got:
Tiki Barber
DeShawn Foster
Brandon Lloyd

So Team B obviously got worked over in that trade. I almost tried to get it vetoed, but Team A was 0-3 and team B was 3-0.

Now they have another trade they're trying to get passed. It's not as bad as the first, but still raises a lot of suspicion from me.

Team A gets:
Eli Manning
Chris Perry
Mushin Muhammad
Randy McMichael
Adam Vinatiari

Team B gets:
Steve McNair
Brian Griesie
Donald Driver
Derick Mason
Chris Cooly

Is this a vetoable trade considering the history between the two? They've both been in the league since the beginning and there has only beed one suspicious trade between the two prior to this year (team A won that one too). Also, both owners are roommates which makes this even more strange and both are two of my really close friends.

I'm really at a loss for what to do about this.

Ohh, and here's both teams rosters prior to this new trade

That 2nd trade is certainly not vetoable by any means. Here's what I see:

Team B wants to improve his WRs beyond TO. Donald Drive and Derrick Mason are more appealing than Mussin alone. McMichael for Cooley is compensation, but could also be a sell high buy low on Team B's part. You can't expect Randy to keep his pace. Griese and McNair for Eli is this owner selling Eli to get two players he can run matchups with instead of relying on the unproven McCown or the one week standout so far, Eli. Perry and Vinatieri (the guy has Rackers) are throw ins to sweeten the deal. Heck, Vinatieri even has the same bye week as Casay so, team A will have to drop one of those quality kickers eitherway.

Its more than logical for Team B to make this move. If you ask me, the first trade is much more lopsided. However, if it happened before Foster was hurt, when Lloyd looked to be a great sleeper pick, and before Plaxico's huge game, it wouldn't look as lopsided as it does now.

Ultimately, there's no evidence of cullusion, and especially as you say these guys are your friends, I think you need to give them the benefit of the doubt and have a little trust in them not to cheat you and everyone else in the league.

If they're your close friends, just ask them if it was BS or not.

Neither of those trades looks bad enough to be definite collusion.

I don't see why that first trade is so bad. It's not necessarily fair, but I don't think that means it's collusion. Lloyd had a great first few weeks, and Manning had a terrible first few. Maybe the guy who gave up Manning had Palmer on his bench or something and needed an extra RB? You'd have to post the rosters, but there are plenty of situations where a trade like this could be made without shady intentions.
