I think we can stop with these "system predictions" now after that big thing last week by the "+/-3 or +/-5 max" dude that didn't work out.

hicjack!

heh... everybody's doing it, so why can't I?

I used the third order quadratic formula taking into account the phase of the moon and solar spot activity:
Code: Select all
Arizona   23   Tennessee   24
Atlanta   20   New York (A)   17
Chicago   17   Baltimore   10
Cincinnati   23   Pittsburgh   20
Cleveland   20   Detroit   17
Houston   10   Indianapolis   27
Miami   17   Kansas City   20
Minnesota   17   Green Bay   24
New York (N)   27   Denver   24
Oakland   17   Buffalo   20
Philadelphia   24   San Diego   27
Seattle   24   Dallas   20
St. Louis   27   New Orleans   24
Washington   27   San Francisco   17
How is my typing? Call 1-555-382-5968
Many posters could benefit from this.

First off, Teh Jury, that's exactly why I'm doing it.

And matmat... that sounds complicated...

I think I'll give away my secret formula now...

dun dun dun...

I actually picked several scores from a hat. Then I flipped coins to determine what team I would assign them to.

Hey, some people pick stocks with darts. ;-D

You can't predict a score based on stats, there are too many variables that can't be predetermined.

no, you can't predict them per se, but you can approximate them, and my guess is that that is what "system guy" is trying to do. i'm not saying his system will work, but it's perfectly concievable to make statistically significant predictions of scores that will have some degree of accuracy....

There is a game in the cafe called pick3. Try playing that, if you are on the top of that list maybe then you guys can start predicting more scores and we will take you seriously.

Do we really want more people putting numbers in a hat and drawing them out and posting them as score predictions???? :-t
