Vikes trade 6th round pick for OG Fonoti

Not sure how much of an effect this guy will have on the Vikes offense, but evidently, he's built like a house 6'5 and 350+. With that kind of size it seems as if he'd be better as a run blocker as opposed to a pass blocker. Might be good for Mewelde Moore owners, and possibly Culpepper assuming he's a much better pass blocker than their current OG.

The guy is an absolute brick wall when he's on! I actually posted some stuff about him in the Trade Deadline thread....he's got a broken hand, but he can play with the cast on. He's had some issues with management in SD...comes to training camp really overweight and doesn't work with the Chargers trainers to take it off. I think they're just tired of dealing with is crap.

He can do both...he certainly couldn't hurt the Vikes and their current offensive situation.

This deal is a bit of a swindle by MIN. Fonoti is going to immediately upgrade their Oline. I guess my question is since Fonoti was a high 2nd rd draft pick in 2002, what does his contract look like? Im guessing he is on the high side for Olinemen.
