Agreed, that's why they'll take D'Brickashaw.
But, I think Houston will make a late run and win about 4-5 games before the season ends. They'll end up with about the 3rd pick, but Ferguson will still be there.

4-5 games? Against whom? Okay, maybe Cleveland, San Francisco and/or Arizona. That's still just three games. No way they win 4-5.
Oct 23 Indianapolis
Oct 30 Cleveland
Nov 6 @Jacksonville
Nov 13 @Indianapolis
Nov 20 Kansas City
Nov 27 St. Louis
Dec 4 @Baltimore
Dec 11 @Tennessee
Dec 18 Arizona
Dec 24 Jacksonville
Jan 1 @San Francisco

At this point, I'd say Cleveland, Jacksonville (times two), St. Louis, Baltimore, Tennesse, Arizona, and San Fran are all winnable games for the Texans. Also, remember, this is the NFL we're talking about here. "Any Given Sunday", right?

I've read that the Texans may clear house after this year (including Carr) so it is a possibility they take Leinart. I don't see it however and if they do get the #1 pick it'll probably be D'Brikishaw Ferguson or they'll trade down.
I can't see them winning a lot of games this year. They are just downright horrible! So, if they do end up with the #1 pick I can't see how they could pass on Leinart. I mean he will be one of the most highly touted QBs to come out in a long time. I think they say bye bye to Carr and welcome to Leinart if they can't trade down to get D'Brickshaw
Couldn't they trade down and still get D'Brickashaw? If for some reaoson they can't there is still a bunch of nice offensive lineman in the upcoming draft. I don't think they will keep their first overall.

If Houston trades down, San Francisco would almost certainly not take a QB such as Leinart (they just drafted Alex Smith) or a running back, as they they just drafted Frank Gore. I would think SF would go with a o-lineman over a defensive player or a WR, and D'Brickshaw is reportedly the top offensive lineman.
