Big matchup, who to start?

Postby kswiss » Thu Oct 03, 2002 1:21 pm

Ok, I have got a tough game this week. The team I am playing has Priest Holmes, Duce McAllister, Thrash, Gannon. I am a bit concerned because I know Holmes will have a field day against the Jets.

My team:
QB: Garcia, Brunell
WR: Moulds, Bruce, Gardner, A. Davis, Glenn
RB: Edge, Pittman, Lewis, Portis
D: San Diego, Carolina

I need to start a QB, 3WR's 2RB's and 1 D.
I think I have to start Garcia.
I am thinking: Moulds, Bruce, Gardner? But, I can pick up Steve Smith, if I drop either Glenn or Davis.

Also Lewis or Portis as a 2nd behind Edge?

and a D?

Thanks for your help.

QB-Garcia. He's against the Rams this week, who can't stop anybody lately.
RB-Portis. He has a tough matchup, but Lewis is inconsistent.
WR-I like the three you have. Jury is still out on the other two WR's. I like Davis' upside though.
D- Go with Carolina at home against AZ. ;-D

sorry to say it, but you mine as well mark that up as a loss.... Not to mention Holmes, Gannon is going to have a field day this week.

QB-Garcia
WR-Moulds, Smith and Gardner
RB-Edge and Portis (you need to gamble this week, Portis has the most upside especially with Mike Anderson out)
D-San Diego

Steve Smith - drop Davis and grab him, he will be a very good play this week with Muhammed out....

Ok, so I am seriously considering picking up Smith, but who do I drop? I see Davis as a #3 reciever who has caught a TD in every game except Pittsburgh. Glenn is quite concussion prone and appears to be outplayed by Driver. He is turning into a bust, should I dump Glenn for Smith?

Glenn is a head case and could be a big bust, agreed. He could turn it around though, with Favre and the big passing game I'd be tempted to hold on to him.

SD Defense should be all you need, I'd consider dropping Carolina for Smith.
