That sucks! Wasn't it just a few years ago when Maddox was being revered by PIT fans? Oh how quickly fans can rear their ugly heads!

Yeah....that year when Plax and Ward went for 1300 each...everyone loved Maddox.

Now they call him Tommy Saddox or Tommy "Makes Fantasy Owners" MAD-dox

Maybe DET fans contain their hate to just Lions games. I guess it's a good thing Joey doesn't have kids...one can only imagine!

I think it was all blown out of proportion, he was coming in for Kordell Stewart, who couldn't hit the broadside of the barn! I think taking to the family is too much, but the boos??? You are a pro Tommy don't blame the wind, boos come when you don't perform to the standard it takes to win in that city!

did you even read the article? no one (not maddox, no one) is complaining about the boos. the guy is just bothered by the fact that people are ridculing his children. which is a perfectly legitimate complaint.

Never ever is it acceptable for people to take out their frustration on a child. However, I imagine its just a few bad apples, as while driving through western PA yesterday I caught a Steelers affiliated station on which this issue was a hot topic, and many of the die-hard Steelers fans seemed to be ashamed of how his family is being abused for his bad performances.

I thought these types of fans were pretty isolated to Philly. Apparently it runs through the state. :D

I would be whoopin some azz...straight up. Football and Family are two different things and thats a line that noone crosses. That article pissed me off.....thats crap. I guess Tommy was supposed to tear it up after being sat for a 1 1/2 seasons and against a Jacksonville defense that looked reborn.

You got these idiots in every city. Once a story like this goes to press, it becomes "the people of XYZ city."
