Why is the Miami game being blacked out on the Sunday ticket across the country?

The game will begin at 7 p.m. Friday instead of Sunday afternoon, which is about when Wilma is expected to hit Florida's southwestern coast.

The NFL has lifted blackout restrictions for the game, but it will air only in the teams' primary and secondary markets on CBS affiliates including: KCTV/Kansas City; WIBW/Topeka; WFOR/Miami; WPEC/West Palm; WINK/Ft. Myers.

"We are not extending the telecast to more markets because we want to adhere as closely as possible to the spirit of our longstanding policy not to conflict with high school and college football during their seasons (which means Friday night and Saturday)," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said.

Apparently (from what I have read) the NFL is not allowed to (or wont allow itself to) have nationally televised games on Friday Night (it would detract from High school football). Apparently they made a pact that they wouldnt televise games on Friday nights. It will be televised in the local areas however.

For a league so focused on marketing... and frankly, so good at it, I just can't believe how dense they're being.

If I didn't like football so much, I'd boycott. But instead, I'll just bitch and moan and no one will listen to me.

So it is definately not on any sunday ticket channel either?... That's crazy... I thought whenever a game was shown locally it would be on there?... Anyone with the ticket know this part for sure?

i've read somewhere that it will be replayed on Sun. night.

Is there going to be a game thread here? I'd like to discuss the game with some people actually watching the game.
