Trading the #5 pick that way looks very good to me, espacially considering your needs. Not only do the picks you'll receive sound good, but having a run of four out of five consecutive picks can create some serious headaches for other teams trying to optimize their drafts!

The really funny thing about this is, the first 4 guys are pretty much set in stone, I'm the wild card. The guy that is trading up to get the 5 is going to take Wells in Houston. He has A-Train, Stephen Davis, and Tiki and Ron Done and is sitting on James Allen (he had the Chitown running game last year). So he wants to shore up the Houston RB crew. He admits he will probably be picking Wells a little too high, but he has a solid team already and doesn't care. Back to the funny part. We have this deal set up, but we aren't going to announce it until draft day. Maybe not even until I pick at either the 5 or later when he picks at the 15 (I would of course snag Wells at the 5 for him). We want to mess everyone's draft boards up on draft day. Not give them anytime to rework their predictions and strategies....
