I picked him up off of waivers a few weeks back, and have had him sitting on my bench since them.
Is he just dead weight, or will he come alive with a new QB and a pretty soft schedule?

I think we'll need to wait and see who Johnson targets next week to have any idea what will happen. So far this year, Wiggins and Robinson have been getting almost all the targets. Burleson has been hurt, and he still has not settled into the "#1" role as of yet.
Another problem is the bad state of the Vikings offense in general. If Johnson gets no protection, he'll probably get sacked a ton. In TB he got sacked about 20-25 times a year, which is actually a lot better than Culpepper's 35-40 a year (surprising stat for someone who is supposed to be a mobile QB

). Who knows how he will handle this. If he goes to the short dumpoffs and screens, then Moore and Wiggins will continue to benefit.
