I play in a yahoo! league and unless I pay, i don't get to see the stats for another 8 hours... Now, that wait time is not worth the $10 it costs to abolish it in my opinion, however it would be great if anyone know sof any sites where guestimations of point totals are posted shortly following games. Is there such a thing?

Excel - the greatest tool ever for fantasy sports. Half of the Rag I write for my league every week comes out of stats gleaned from my Excel sheets.

So you would create and maintain an excel sheet just to avoid paying $10.00? I can see it if you like going throught the stats by hand, but if not I would pay the cash or wait 8 hours.

But if you stretch that $10 out over the 17 week period, that's less than $1 every time you use it, I bought it just so I can call up my buddy to tell him he's losing to me.

a friend of mine bought stat tracker, and he lets me (and most of the rest of our private league) log in on his account to check scores during the day.

the odd side effect of this has been a large number of message board posts that had to be immediately followed by a post saying, "BTW, that last one was me. I was logged on to Bill's account."

I did the excel/paper and pencil thing for years when I was a student, but now that I have a job and an income, I just pay the $10.

Its a coming of age thing to me... sort of like buying expensive wine, not buying the cheapest plane ticket, and realizing that your friends can no longer be bribed with pizza and beer to help you move.
