I'm sure this is something we can't buy here in Mercer...is this a widely known brand of food? I've never heard of it before. Banquets and Swansons are pretty much all I've ever seen.
There are also a lot of stores that I've never heard of either...Jewel is a store? I thought Jewel was a moderately attractive yodeling singer, not a grocery store. We have Giant Eagles, Golden Dawns, Shop & Saves, IGAs and County Markets around here. I'll bet there isn't a Food Lion within 1000 miles of here.
We also have Sheetz gas stations which I'm sure is local. Every time I got across the state I see tons of Wawas. The one we always go to on our Delaware trips has gone 287 days without an accident.

I guess because they are so big here I assumed Jewel/Osco was a national thing. It seems every 8 blocks you can find a Jewel, an Osco, or a combo Jewel Osco. I have never heard of any of the stores you mentioned either, so I guess we all think the world revolves around our cities!
Mercer, do you have Sam's Club or Costco? They carry Marie Calendar pot pies.
They come in a box of eight or ten individually packaged pies, and they're microwaveable. I remember back in the Middle Ages (1970's) before microwaves when you had to toss your pot pie in the oven for an hour - now it takes six minutes and you get a golden-brown, flakey crust with a bit of heaven inside.
When it's winter in Mercer, PA a piping hot pot pie would be just the thing. You need to get some of these, MB!

The closest Sam's Club is approximately 35 miles away in Ohio. I live in the middle of freaking Nowheresville. I think they are putting one in my area soon, though. Then it will only be 15 miles away.
The Swanson (I think) pot pies do the same thing with the browned crust in the microwave; they aren't too bad. I would never do a pot pie in the oven. If it takes me longer than about 20 minutes to make something, I would rather not eat it.
