Onterrio Smith will get a chance.

Viking Update

A mid-week aggravation of Doug Chapman's ankle injury may well open the door to the start of the "S.O.D." era in Minnesota. From what VU was told Thursday, Smith has been told to be ready to prove his case to the team. While Moe Williams will start, Onterrio Smith will get his chance to prove himself Sunday. If he succeeds immediately, he stays in the lineup. If he doesn't, Williams will return to the game.

Interesting. To all the people that have him...I wouldn't be starting him just quite yet. Let's see if he even gets in the game first, and second let's see how he does.

It doesn't need to be in good taste, so long as it tastes good

I hope Moe Williams will remain the starter because I have him, and he is my only back up RB!!!

tice

I wouldn't trust anything Tice says right now. He changes his mind about his RBs like crazy. He SAYS he'll give Smith the touches that chapman would've had but don't take his word for it. Just bench O-Smith start Moe Williams (Moe will get 90% of the touches unless O-smith breaks some long ones), and just see what happens. No way you should start O-Smith over ANY starting RB.

you're not alone man. I really like Onterrio Smith, but Tice isn't very high on him because of a block he missed in practice. Right now nobody can tell if Tice is bluffing and that he just wants to teach O-Smith a lesson or if he's serious on that he's behind Moe and Chapman.
