I'm not a huge baseball fan but would have at least liked to see it go 6 or 7 games. That being said, I'm a Reds fan for life so seeing both St. Louis and Houston go down is alright by me.

as with diablo i'm a fan of teams that haven't won anything in along time (chiefs flyers formerely the sox) and i coudn't be happier. it was a great season that well exceded my expectations. the only bitter sweet part is frank thomas wasn't really a part of it.

NOW can we finally get a little respect????? Lowest ratings in AC NIelsen history...how sad. These people missed some excellent baseball teams playing some excellent baseball, with no Sosa-esque egos. Congrats White Sox, and thank you for bringing both a title AND some class to our humble city!

I watched the series and I must say it was quite a spectacle. I have never seen such momentum for one team in any sport over the span of 3 weeks. The Sox went 14-1 against the best teams in baseball. Every time they needed a hit, they got a clutch hit. Conversely, every time the other team needed a clutch hit (poor Astros), the Sox figured a way out of the jam. Every time there was a controversial call, they got the better end of it (sometimes calls that cost the other team the game). Pitching was utterly dominant. Everything that could have gone right did and the other teams (Indians, Red Sox, Angels, and Astros) never had a chance. Chicago could do no wrong and redefined the term "hot". Talk about a charmed 3 weeks - nothing like it in baseball history.
