-Buddy of mine from hs is a goalie for the Atlanta Thrashers (Berkohel)
-Another buddy from hs is making his way up the Minnesota Twins minor league system (Glen Perkins)
-And I played hs basketball against Khalid El Amin (UConn & Bulls for a short time)
Not quite superstars, but kinda cool seeing them get places.
Khalid was the man and that uconn team was sick with rip and voskhul and especially souleman wann lol (sp?). Now Khalid is smokin' pot in israel.
I just found out that a friend of mine's brother played with (and is still friends with Larry Fitzgerald). She was like, yeah I know a famous football player, he tore it up in college, and he's been in my house to visit my brother. He's a wr in the NFL. I'm like hey, I might know of this guy, and then she says it's larry fitz. Whoa.

Are you from North Dakota? Kleinsasser was from Carrington, a town about an hour from where I grew up. He went to college w/ me, he was a cocky bastard. After he signed his rookie contract, he threw a party back in Grand Forks, he was always driving his Escalade around campus too.
I take it the guys talking about Perkins, El Amin, and Fitz are from MN. Perkins is a stud.
Never played with any NFL guys, but I did play pickup basketball dozens of time with now Chicago Bull Ben Gordon when we were in high school, as well as play alongside two now MLS players and against three others.
I played against DJ Williams in high school (Denver Bronco's LB). Actually made a tackle against him even though he ran for something like 200 and 4 TDs against us. I don't even remember the score, but it was ugly. De La Salle #1 ranked high school in the country for awhile and they had something like a 100 game win streak?
