Yeah, it is a total loser move by Shanahan. The same thing happened last week (I think) in the Oakland game when they let Crockett run in a meaningless TD while Buffalo's defense sunk into more negative territory.
Unfortunately, I guess he's thinking about possible tiebreakers and the whole "just stop us from scoring" thing. Personally, I don't see why you put your players at risk (which is part of the reason you kneel at the end of the game along with not showing up your competition). Portis got lost for the year when he tried to pound in a TD in OT two years ago, but he just doesn't seem to get it.

I have both Anderson and Bell. Both have been putting up regular solid #s, against very good defenses. They are the new Bo Jackson & Marcus Allen. I started Ronnie Brown over both of them, and either one of them would have been a much better play for me this week.
