Carnell Williams: Those Who Watched, What Did You See?

obviously, he's coming back from an injury...i'm sure that's partly responsible for his suckage, but pittman didn't fare much better. what was the formidable 49ers defense (aka, the "red fog") doing to shut down the running game that future buccaneer opponents might try to duplicate?

additionally, did cornhole look slow? were there holes that he was just plain missing? looking for additional insight beyond the universal numbers.

Once again, Caddy was doing right about what he's done all year with his first 14 carries.

Caddy has generally struggled all the way up through carries 1-20, and gained most of his big yardage late in the 4th q when TB is up, and on carries 24+ when the defense is tired. I've said all season if Caddy isn't able to get that many carries that this is what we'd see.

Sadly, with Griese out and Simms in, two things will happen. The Bucs will not have those 4th quarter leads as often to let Caddy run out the clock, and the Bucs will not be able to sustain long enough drives to get Caddy 25+ carries, so we may be stuck seeing a large handful of games with him at his 1-20 carry production, which is supremely below average.

Buc's didn't show up for the game, I'd call it a mulligan.

Caddy had one long run on like 3rd and 50 and the rest of the time there were players getting into the backfield and the plays were getting blown up. So many penalties.. almost every situation was like 1st and 15, 2nd and 20, 3rd and 12. Caddy or any other RB in the league had no chance out there the way the Buc's were playing... they just had a horrible, horrible game.

It is pretty pathetic when your team can't score points against a 49ers team led by Ken Dorsey/Cody Pickett... And this coming from a 49ers fan, who went to the game, and fully expected to head to the parking lot after the start of the 4th quarter.
