Philoshpy for the Rest of the Season

Postby vikingsownu11 » Mon Oct 31, 2005 10:19 pm

Now this might get some crap, but the way we are is not going where we are wanting to go.

Trade Culpepper for a top 5 pick. Take Leinart. Than use are 1st round pick on

Lawrence Maroney
Reggie Bush

We are going to lose many more games so we should start for next season. Also can we pay a team to take Tice?

FYI nobody wants Culpepper especially for a top 5 pick...

I don' know if you could feed Pepp to anyone. But i would think Green woudl jump on him if Minn traded him.

I agree on the tice issue cause if we have a top pick chance are they draft another D linemen.

Well, I agree with the fact that we aren't going to be able to get a top 5 pick for Daunte at this point in the season. He won't be able to help a team at all this season and very easily could be out up to a year, which means at the least he would miss most of any mini-camps and some of training camp next season possibly. Not a whole lot of teams are looking for a new QB that are willing to trade a top pick for him. The Cardinals would be one of the only teams I could see interested and that's mainly because Denny is the coach. I don't see them having a pick high enough to get Lienart though, so it doesn't matter. At this point, I think we have just as good of a chance at getting him with our own pick.

As far as Tice, if he's not done after this season I don't know if I'll be able to handle being a Vikes fan and watching the games next year. I can't stand the guys strategies and play calling and his ugly face on TV. The guy is a line coach, not a head coach, and shouldn't have been to begin with.

I don't think people will look at Culpepper after this year, especially being hurt and say he can lead their team to something good.

I would say he might get a low 1st round pick.

I know the original post was on Oct 31st, but I am thinking we will have a mid-first round pick. So, I would say their is no way we would have a chance at either Lienart or Bush.

I wish their was a way to get another 1st round pick, but they would likey waste it on someone like Williamson.

I say we trade Culpepper and maybe another guy to Houston for DD, they can pick Reggie Bush as their first pick. Maybe we could get an early 2nd round pick from them also.

Maybe we could make a deal for Philip Rivers.

Then get some OL help in the draft. Maybe let BJ ( Brad Johnson ) play another year to let Rivers learn a little more.
