The owner of Antonio Gates is out of contention and has declared a fire sale. I offered this to him:

my second round draft pick
for
TE Gates, SD
his seventh round draft pick
He rejected this immediately and said he had other offers, so I emailed him right back with something along the lines of "I'll match any offer you get for Gates; what is your Buy Now price?"
This is what he comes back with:
You've always been fair with me, so don't worry...I'll keep you updated on what's going on...
ps - buy now price, huh?...just thinking out loud here...Tomlinson, after the season, no draft picks from either of us, for Gates and a TE I can use now as filler, but again, I have to see what other offers are....

It was Graham and a second pick next year for Gates and his 7th pick. Not straight up. But to counter with LT for Gates is just stupid. He should never be allowed to offer, accept or even consider thinking about a trade ever again. And a kick in the nards wearing a pair of LT's cleats, just to make sure he gets it.
Graham is just a roster fill-in so he doesn't have to pay for another player. I'm giving him a Second round pick for Gates. That's pretty fair if you ask me.
Gates is the #61 player in our league with 65 points. In a 12-team league a #2 pick - assuming it's the last pick of the second round, would be equivalent to the #24 player. In our league that's Stephen Jackson.
Now, we actually keep two players, so a second round pick would really be, at worst, the #48 player. In our league that's Steven Davis.
LT2 is the #1 player in our league with 131 points, or double Gates.
well, whos his keepers, its not a bad trade, if he has two solid running backs right now, he could use that second round pick to build a really solid team next year.. 1 first round pick and 2 second round picks.....

Good question. This year he kept Dillon and CMart. He's talking about keeping Gates next year but that's BS. There's no way you keep a TE, even one as productive as Gates, over two of his RBs:
Dillon
CMart
R Williams
Bettis
Of that list I keep Dillon and CMart/Williams, depending on how Ricky does the rest of the year.
