Would YOU accept this trade (WHIR)

Postby munstermann » Tue Nov 01, 2005 10:11 pm

Just trying to find out if this is a fair trade offer, I'm not interested in ripping anyone off, just improving my own roster :p

My Roster:
QB - Brunell
QB - Bledsoe
WR - S. Moss
WR - R. Moss
WR - L. Fitzgerald
WR - Chatman
RB - E. James
RB - S. Davis
TE - T. Heap
DEF - Cincinatti
DEF - Jacksonville
K - R. Lindell

His Roster:
QB - Brady
QB - Bulger
WR - M. Harrison
WR - A. Hakim
WR - D. Stallworth
RB - L. Tomlinson
RB - K. Jones
RB - F. Taylor
TE - A. Gates
DEF - Carolina
K. J. Wilkins

My Trade offer:
L. Fitzgerald; S. Davis; and Cinci DEF ::FOR:: L. Tomlinson

My Feelings:
With Boldin out for 2 weeks+, Fitzgeralds Fantasy Value has tripled... him and Boldin had previously accounted for all of Arizona's Touchdowns, and now Fitzgerald will be the single go-to reciever. Davis is the goal line RB for Carolina, taking 90% of the carries within the 20 yardline... even after being out for 2weeks+ he has maintained his position as a top 10 Fantasy RB... and Cinci DEF, well, its good, and has two upcoming games against Balti

Tomlinson has been shoddy the past few weeks, has a BYE next week... he is a good RB, and when he does well he almost guarentee's a fantasy win... so thats Wwhy I want him... he'll solidify my roster...

My guys will give the other dude some offensive diversity, a strong WR, and strong RB and a strong DEF to help vary his dependence, rather than depending solely on Harrison and Tomlinson

SOOOO In conclusion, what do you guys think of the trade. I would appreciate support for your answers, but a simple opinion is fine. If I were offeirng this trade to you, with his above roster.... would YOU ACCEPT IT?

Looking forward to response

Sincerely,
-Scott[/b]

Not unfair. LT is the best, most dependable FF player. I wouldn't give up that much for him, but thats my opinion. I would offer S Moss and see if he takes it

Sprewell, can you give some reasoning as for why you don't think he will take the trade I threw out? It looks like fair concessions to me...

i agree even with santana moss in the deal, i doubt he will take it. Trading for LT is like trading for Pujols in baseball, it has to be an amazing offer

please help

Are you guys giving this input with the respective roster's and future performances as I cited above in mind?

That is alot to give up. Though I think the only thing you are truly giving up is a WR. Who will you play when LT is on his BYE? I am assuming you start 2 rbs? 2 wrs? I would say you have the depth at WR to trade a stud away.

I do not know which option is the better trade- Santana or Fitz. Both would seem fair. I think both sides of this trade would better their respective rosters- though giving up LT certainly is not easy to do.

I think he will recognize the extreme value of LT2 & force a higher price. It would probably be easier to up your deal than have him do it. Put yourself in his shoes & ask what you would insist on to give up LT2. He will be doing just that when you contact him. I doubt that he will consider Fitz, Davis & Cinci D for LT. Fitz is good but does not produce like LT. Davis is fragile & one good shot away from the DL. Until his solid performance this past week returning from the Bye, he was fading. Cinci D is not necessarily that much higher than Carolina. I think you've got to up the ante with a deal for LT.

Good luck.

hmmm I see where your coming from here... but what further concessions could I make? Moss and Brunell are my unseperateable QB + WR pair, and R. Moss I feel carries to much future potential to throw in with an already promising Fitzgerald. I agree, it would be a btich to give up LT, but imagining how Fitz is going to soar with Boldin gone is also a big one. Davis is being used solely on the goal line because they know he is a quality rusher and can get the required yardage, but is prone to be hurt if he's running long distances... hence why he swaps out with Foster. Even with this though, he performs amazingly... Don't you think that sinc ehe will probably voercome all isssue's before the season is out, Davis will be a killer future FF player?
