The movie JARHEAD comes out this friday, I have been waiting months for this to come out.

I am a huge fan of war movies, ones like: Full Metal Jacket, The Deer Hunter, Platoon, Hamburger Hill and my favorite Apocalypse Now.

It has been awhile since a good War movie has came out and this looks like it is it.

JARHEAD looks like the Full Metal Jacket of today.

I agree though, its about time we had a decent war movie. Having said that, how long ago was BlackHawk Down? That was a great war movie.

Blackhawk Down was like 6 years ago.

I think Jarhead will be an excellent movie.

I'm looking forward to Jarhead, but I think it is overhyped to a degree. Thanks to some awesomely chosen trailer music and the every so catchy "Ooh-ra" from Jamie Foxx, this movie is getting more love than it deserves.

Then again, Foxx, Gyllenhal, Saarsgard and the director from American Beauty, it could meet and exceed the hype.

Yep, We will have to see if it is one of those movies where the only good parts were shown in the previews or if this is one worthy to be put along side the others on the heroic dvd collection.

BlackHawk Down came out in 2001. IMO it was one of the best, if not the best war movie ever.

Jarhead looks pretty dam good. I will more then likely go and see it. The only thing better then a good war flick is a good Horror flick.

looks like a great movie and i'll most likely go see it just so the super hype machine goes away.

also if you are talkin best war flicks these two come to mind as some of the best Kelly's Heroes and Dirty Dozen. both are classic war films.
