can he handle getting the ball into the playmakers' hands against the packers? even after the packers, he's due to face the brownies (if roethlis...is still out). might be a decent grab for teams with bye/injury problems...and ravaged waiver wires.

that's not what i'm saying. i am saying that if your qbs are bulger and roethlisberger, that batch is probably out there. he is a remote option, now, as opposed to being no option whatsoever previously.
Well, the good news is the Steelers couldn't throw the ball any less than 14 times a game. The bad news is 15-20 throws by Batch won't give you any more than a desperation play. I think it could hurt Miller most, as Roeth had a good RZ mojo working with him. I would play Warner over Batch. Should be a great couple weeks for FWP.
With Big Ben out, Batch probably won't see much of the ball. I figure they'll just turn the RB's loose for most of the game.
Anyways, he's an emergency fill-in at best. If you're really looking for someone this week, I'd recommend Brad Johnson instead.

Try 436 yards and 3 TDs! (He actually did that one game in 2001 with the Lions)
Okay, I'll give you that one game, against Arizona...ahem...but look at two weeks prior in SF....74 yds. The sun shines on a dog's a** some days. I also believe there was a game against GB that was around 110-120 and a couple int's and a fumble. Maybe it was the Steelers. Who knows.
