Halfway through - QBs

Postby Cornbread Maxwell » Thu Nov 03, 2005 3:23 pm

These are the top 10 QBs in standard Yahoo leagues:

Palmer
McNabb
Bledsoe
Plummer
Favre
Brees
Eli Manning
Brunell
Roethlisberger
Delhomme

I dont know about you guys, but if someone had told me Eli would be a top 10 fantasy QB and Peyton wouldnt, I would have asked that person to join my money league.

Anyway - who remains on this list at the end of the yr and who doesnt?

brunell will likely be replaced by bulger. other than that i think that list is pretty solid...hasselbeck could knock out roethlisberger.

Plummer in the top 5 annoys me...I have him and Brees (picked up in week 5) in one league, and I think I have successfully used the wrong QB in 4 consecutive weeks. I suppose since he hasn't thrown an INT in 6 games that he should be given some credit.

I just found something out that is very, very interesting. Even with that crappy GB line and the amount of throwing that Favre does, he's only been sacked 9 times this year.

Nine times?

Nine times...

:-?

That's second least in the NFL after Manning.

Oh yeah...the other question. I like the previous response of Bulger and Hass going up and Roethlisberger coming down.

So you guys really dont think Peyton will finish in the top 10?

Lets see, for me Im thinking Brunell, Big Ben, and Delhomme fall out. They will be replaced by Peyton, Collins, and Hasselbeck.

One thing to remember - Plummer and Bledsoe havent had their Bye yet.

I look for Bledsoe to start falling down in the rankings pretty soon. A somewhat surprising omission is Kerry Collins. I think last week's Tennessee game may have been the start of bigger things to come.

Dropping out:
Brunell
Roethlisberger

Moving in:
Peyton
Hasselbeck

I know they aren't exactly bold predictions, but you have to look at the offenses they play in and schedules from here out.

Must...bite...tongue... :-X

I hate Jake Plummer. I can't believe he is on that list. I dropped him after having games of like 94 yds and a TD or something like that, and some guy grabs him immediately and the jerk goes off! Collins and Peyton have to break in, Big Ben should drop out, especially now with the injury, and I can't see The Human Statue Bledsoe staying up there either.

Out of the top 10...

Big Ben. I was one of his biggest detractors over the summer. And i humbly sit on my hands here. I downgraded Ward to the back end of Top 20 WRs. Claiming Big Ben wasn't clutch. My Bad. :-B . But i will say that he falls out of the top 10.

Brunell. No way he keeps this up. Early season success is exactly that. Early.

Mcnabb. Injuries to himself and his team. Will keep him out at the end of the season.

Entering the top 10...

I am gonna pick three very easy qbs.

Peyton. He is a Manning. Cmon.

Bulger. St Lue.

Green. Looked great against Charger. But then again its the Chargers.
