Can Someoen Critique My First Sig?

I have no idea how to do the name well...

I think it would be really awesome if you faded away to complete transparency. (like have half the raiders logo over nothing) You could try adding a border that fades too.

Try putting a glow around the big pic of him.

to do that would take him making it into a GIF file which would make it too big file size for this board...but cool idea though...

i agree about the border....its needed for sure especially since you faded out the one side. even a simple black border would make a huge difference.

the only other thing is just experimenting with different fonts.

other than that great sig, and for a first sig...far better than what i did my my first few. nice work, keep em comin

Nice sig, I agree about the border, a 2 px black border will make it look much better.

And a white glow around the picture on the left woud help it out as well.

Another thing you may want to try is a black stroke around the text. That may look very well if you add the black border around the sig.

It is a really good looking sig, nice job.

You can use just a standard one pixel paintbrush or sometimes the program can make one for you...

you just gotta stroke it man...lol

are you using photoshop?

create a new layer on top....edit-select all....then i think its edit stroke...i cant remember where the stroke command is located...

The way I add a border (if your using photoshop)

Add new layer, use paint bucket and fill the layer white. Then change the layer's blend mode from Normal to Darken. Then go to blending options and choose stroke. Make it as wide as you wish and choose the color.

There are other ways but that is the way i adopted and it is just as quick as others.

Here's a simpler way. New layer on top, ctrl+a, right click on the selection, select stroke, and do whatever you want with it.
