It ultimately was that little voice in your head! The same one who told me to bench Burress last week in favor of D Jax. Tinkering is all part of the fun of ff, but it doesn't come without a cost. I say live and learn, but we both know we won't!

It wasn't me, I told everyone not to recall Davis. Lots of people probably didn't listen.

sean alexander--and his 50 yards rushing--is my stud. stephen davis is supposed to robin-to-batman. i was referring to the practice of benching a proven performer (perhaps inaccurately, i call this performer a stud) in deference to some hackjob like stacey mack.

but thanks for the vote of confidence, anyway, awwchrist.

Remember YOU were the one who asked for help. Everyone's got opinions, and if that game were to be played again, tomorrow, 90% of the posters here would still tell you to play Mack over Davis. TB IS still that good. But lightning does strike, and as Berman says..it's why they play game. Neither scored and yes there is a 100 yard disparity, but it wasn't THAT big of a difference. Hell, if either TB or Carolina scores a TD then Davis wouldn't get 349 gazllion carries like he did today.

This game wasn't a matter of US giving you bad advice..this was a matter of neither team wanting to make a mistake and playing a FG war.

Also, dont forget you were the one to use the description of "stud". If you hadn't said that, I wouldnt have responded the way I did.

I didn't think that Davis could get over a 100 yards. I told some folks that. I would have started Mack over Davis as well. NO has had trouble stopping the run and didn't play well last week. I had the numbers on my side.

Thats why they play the games.

I would find it tough to bench any player I picked in the first 4 rounds, especially in week 2. I'd look at benching my QB against TB because that is usually a stupid play, but I'd throw a WR or RB against the Bucs D.

It wasn't me :-b
