I am trying to figure out who is hyping up the 9res defence

I've seen it several places... Most recently in the Lines and Spreads forum....


I won't name names, but the guy who was doing it most fervently was Brutally Huge....

Give me a break. The Niners defense is the product of a completely impotent offense.

But hey, at least they lead the league in one category - punt attempts.

11 total possessions - 7 "three & outs"

Here are their current stats...
(after week 9)

Rushing Defense:
110.1 ypg (14th in the NFL)
3.7 average (8th)
12 total TD allowed. (29th)
...with a 3.7 yards per carry average, can you imagine how good this defense could be against the rush if their offense could keep them off the feild?

Passing Defense:
306.8 ypg (32nd)
8.72 ypa (32nd)
17 total TD allowed. (31st)
...why would you do anything besides throw the ball against this team? Obviously, they can't stop anyone's passing game. (could be part of the reason their run def. looks so good)

ya, there defense sucks, and i will never start them again, but in one league, i started them the week they played Arz. and scored 2 defensive TD's.
