What does everyone think of Trent Green?

Last year I did well with the strategy of waiting until the later rounds to grab a QB. I did the same thing this year (keeper-league team) and ended up with Trent Green and Brad Johnson. I'm sure Green will have better days ahead, but will he perform like a top-10 QB again this year?

It'll probably be hard for him to perform like a top 10 QB, with Holmes consisting of so much of the offense, but he's definitely a solid top 15 guy. Brad Johnson is solid too when he's healthy, so if you just start whichever of the two has the better matchup, you should be fine. Whatever little bit of production you lose at the QB position should be more than made up for by your 2 top 10 RBs, 2 top 10 WRs, and top notch TE.

Hmm I have T Green and B Johnson in one of my leagues. I fully expected Green to be a top 10 QB, but after the first couple of weeks and the lack of passing TD's im hurting. I expected to see him pass more to Holmes and get in on the TD action that way. Gonzo is a non event right now as is Kennison and the big play specialist Boerigter.

I have faith he will put up better numbers, but im not sure when that will occur, vs the Steelers I really expected a great day from him and I got JUNK.

Green might not end up being a top 10 QB, but he's still a decent #1 fantasy QB.

Agreed. Holmes won't always get 200 to 300 combined yards everyweek. This opens it up for Gonzo and the rest of the WR bunch in KC. Right now though no one is stopping Holmes through out the game.
Holmes wasn't able to run right off the tackle with any success verses Pitt. Thats when Green went down the field to Morton for the first down. Trent will get his.

I don't see why Green won't be a top 10-15 QB; I mean Holmes is the same Holmes he was last year, and Green managed to pile up some pretty good stats. Not much has changed except their D is better.
