regardless of if there was a block in the back, looking at the replay there were at once like 5-6 guys around him and no one was able to get him down. he isn't barry sanders...

Even still, you're right - there was a HUGE block in the back that wasn't called. The only caveat I can think of is that the guy was going down already and wouldn't have been in on the play, but a rule is a rule. I wonder if the referees saw this amazing play unfolding before them and went into spectator mode.

The refs are only human. Apparently it wasn't considered obvious enough to overturn on review, either.

I'm pretty sure you cannot call a penalty in a challenge/booth review, only make a different call.... but no extra penalties. Same as how you can't delete a penalty with a review.

Yeah, I'm not really angry about it. A team with less than 2 completions deserves to lose, and it wasn't like that was the decisive score or anything.

If I remember right, the refs weren't really even close to the action though. Why would they stand way back there for a field goal? 2 refs are at the goal-line, so that leaves only 5 to cover the field, and I dont' think any were behind the LOS (and I wouldn't expect them to be). It's hard to make a call when you're 20 yards away.
