Biggest '06 Needs?

Postby Bennett4prez » Tue Nov 15, 2005 6:29 pm

Hey, I'm putting together a Mock Draft for the 2006 season (bi-weekly: check out the College Sports forum). So, I'm going around to each team's forum and asking the hometown fans what they believe their team's biggest weakness is. So, without any further adieu...

What do you think the Packers biggest weakness(es) are for the '06 season?

THANKS! ;-D

Most would say Gaurd I think... but i'm more skeptical about the secondary. Cornerback is a big issue, but free safety is the biggest need IMO.

Yeah, Secondary is kind of sad, only 6 INTs this year. I think it should be a little bit higher than that. Then I would say maybe upgrade the Oline but I think we just need to get some workout plan that no one will get hurt. Then we'll be back on top of the NFC North ;)

I've changed my viewpoints... apparently marquand manuel is all but signed to the packers, and he had a decent season as a fill-in starter for SEA last year.

My top needs would have to be:
1)LB (the sanders scheme calls for LBs to make the run stuffing tackles, nail diggs has been cut, poppinga is intriguing but coming off injury. Only good LB is barnett.)
2)D-line (DE if Kampman not resigned, otherwise DT)
3) O-line (we need some competition at the gaurd spots)
4) CB (Safety is no longer a big issue as collins and manuel are decent enought. Also Carroll at least needs some competition, if not a replacement)
5) WR (we only have walker coming off injury, Rod Gardner, Ferguson off injury, and Driver. We need a PR with chatman gone) This could/should be addressed in free agency.
6) RB (maybe a backup to compete with ahman and Gado.)

We are set at offensive Tackle, QB, C (with flanagan resigned), S (Roman is decent depth), TE, FB (Henderson should play 1 more year).
