Question for Photoshop.

Ok, in Photoshop when you upload an image.. and the image has text in it, how do you get rid of it? Also, how can you change it to something different?

Example, If you found some sweet Peyton Manning Photo and it had words like I am the best or something on it.. how do you get rid of that without losing the current backround?

Well you have to use the clone stamp and you can learn to use it here: http://good-tutorials.com/search/query/clone%20stamp

Ok I've done it with 5 other pictures but I can't do it with the one I need..

I want to get rid of the text and it wont let me..

But like if i take a guy off the internet I can do it perfectly fine and take off his head using it and stuff..

But, for some reason it won't work for this..
