Every year there are a handful of lower-ranked players in the game that perform much better then their ratings suggests, like"sleepers", does anyone know which ones so far?

I am not sure I have the answer to what you are looking, However I think Caddy is a monster in the game dispite his rookie rating. As long as you use him and win games he also progresses like crazy

Ronnie Brown and Cedric Benson are unstoppable.
I put up at least 150 and 2 tds every game with them.

Play Action and then do a deep lob pass to holt....Td every time.
They are really good in the game.

Also even though he is good now, Larry Johnson tears it up in this game, use counters and he gets 10-15 each time, if he plays zone and blitz the ends, then do a HB up the middle and then try to go off the block outside toward the tackle and your wide in the open.

Also i like to send my WR's deep on any running play on the outside, it then takes them longer to come back and get u in the open field.

I dont like to play a lot of no-name Rb's or WR's so i cant help u much there.

I usually play all-pro and I think that is the default setting online.

I used to play all-madden during my hardcore gamer days.
