Marino does what we all want to . . smacks Costas on air!

On this week's edition of "Inside the NFL" on HBO, Costas was being his usual jerk self, and corrected Marino on a minor point regarding a question regarding whether the Chargers made a mistake in Week 1 this year by suspending Antonio Gates, ultimately costing them the game.

Marino, visibly perturbed, mumbled a few things to Costas halfway under his breath, sarcastically thanking Costas for correcting him and calling him a "genuis".

Then, just after the next question, Chris Carter pokes fun at Marino's sportcoat (deservedly, it was quite ugly), and Costas piles on by making a stupid comment about Marino getting the jacket at an estate sale of some obscure entertainer.

Marino clenches his right fist, and mocks like he will be smacking Costas in the face. (and he looks like he's ready to) Then, after a few seconds, Marino reaches up and pops Costas in the side of the head with an open left hand!!!

Frigging Hilarious!!

Hopefully, Dan tossed the little twerp against the wall after the taping of the show finished.

It's true, but it was all totally done in jest. Costas made fun of Marino's jacket, and Marino smacked him on the back of the head, like "whatsamatta witchew?" It was just horsing around. No need to go Merc on it and suggest that no TV anchors should speak without attorneys present.
