Everything But The Girl?

I mean we see her bra, panties and her hair- but we dont see the girl! Irgo we all shown everything but the girl here. they are a Virgin recording artist ( No, they are not as lame as their name implies -and funny enough have a female lead singer)

It makes sense, unless there is another name linked to this figure? Its a bit cerebral, but how else would they show "Everything but the girl?"

I think we need to focus on what areas are missing. You said that you have a master list of what bands use what areas in the picture. But with only a couple of bands left the areas must be limited, As far as I can tell or read. we are looking for these icons

1.The Mannequin(?) in the red bikini (I thinks it Everything but the Girl. see precious post for explantion.)

2.The Acrobats in dead center

3.The two girls making out.

is there anoother area that has not been claimed? Is one of these all ready taken. Please update Vaderfinn

One that is in question is the 3 guys on the roof on the right hand side of the picture. They're definately not " the Carpenters"
The 2 making out I believe has been deemed as KISS
I think the acrobats are Dave Matthews Band yellow makes a D, red makes an M, shadow makes a b.
And the blow up doll / manequinn is still sort of up in the air.

What do you think of my "Everything but the Girl" call?

I think the Dave Matthews Band is a big stretch. The shadow doesnt look like a upper or lower case B. and I dont think were looking for intials. uu and BGGG work as U@ and The Bee Gees because its a literal.

I just don't see DMB in either person. Everything But The Girl doesn't make any sense to me either seeing how the only thing there IS the girl. I agree that the Carpenters isnt correct. Men at Work was another thought on it but who knows. The railing means something. There are also 3 pineapples on the fruit stand that may have a meaning.

so are there only certain areas up for questioning?

If not, here are a few more things to mull over.

1. far right behind Alice in chains, you can barely make out the word "subway" thru its railings... does this mean anything?
2. a few objects- the 2 street lights right under the whitesnake(one I believe is one of those pedestrian thingys)... and the steel ladder behind the chick blowing bubble... any bands associated with these 3 items?
3. right behind the go go chicks and close to a rolling stone there is a green tree.
4. there is a set of yellow flowers right behind the GnR.
5. and as for the 3 ppl on the roof, maybe we should focus on that chimney type thing above them, or not?

If we consider that it also a balcony she could be "Juliet" why is she chewing bubble gum? I have no idea!

What we know

The Pumpkins=Smashing Pumpkins
The Smiling Lemos=The Lemonheads
The Water Melons=Blind Melon (the one wearing glasses)
Earns of corn=Korn
Have no idea about the pineapples or the Squash, but just below the water melons are some more faces the vegtable stand also has a calneder with August 2006 on it. Perhaps the other smiling objects are "The Futureheads"

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too...I don't know any Rapunzel bands though.
