If you want a cut out like that to be under cafe limits, it's going to look choppy. You can have it saved as a jpg, but I'm sure if you tried it'll have a white border around it of the image size instead of being transparent. I don't think there's a way around it if you want it to be transparent. For some odd reason I kind of like the pixelated look that the gif comes out as, but I'm sure some don't... I've also noticed that when your in the "Save for web", when you optimize it to 12kb, when it actually comes out in my browser it looks better. May just be my eyes.

It's a nice sig btw ;-D

that's real nice, I like that, looks great ;-D

...but sadly the only way to keep the transparency is to save it as a gif and the number of colors takes a big hit. Try removing the gradient from the background and glow from the text (maybe replace the text glow with a solid line)

only way I have been able to save .gifs decently is put a grid in the background like ImageorImage

because that takes up less colors and is mostly black

the only way for you to make a gif like that fit under the limits and still look halfway decent is to make it about 30 pixels high. thats the reason you dont see a lot of us taking advantage of transparencies in the cafe.

solid looking sig tho...i really like this one ;-D

I like it. ;-D

To get the other one to work, the only thing I can think of is take the background color of posts at the cafe and fill it in with that. It'd be transparent for atleast half of your posts, or you could just wait for someone to post then post when it's the transparent BG. ;-)
