What kind of player scoring do you have in that league? Do players get 1 point for every yard rushing/receiving? In that case, your defensive scoring would still be small as compared to your players.
If your player scoring is, for example, 1 point for every 15 yards rushing/receiving, then that is silly. Defensive scoring would be WAY too predominant. Whoever has the best defenses would likely win the league championship. I might draft the Chicago defense in the 3rd or 4th round next year with scoring like that.
Sorry for the confusion but I am not in this league - I was just showing a way that it could happen...
In fact, a co-worker runs a league that uses this scoring for the defense and here is a quick look at the rest of the scoring for other positions:
Pass 1/25 yd, 6/TD, -2/INT, bonuses for # on completions (up to 15)
Rush 1/10yd, 6/TD, bonuses for # of carries (up to 15)
Rec 1/10yd, 6/TD, 1 PPR
Apparently with the bonuses and PPR it is relatively balanced...
