Team Defenses week 14 Question

Postby Warhawk » Sat Dec 10, 2005 5:42 am

So why isn't the Indy defense at least a decent play? Last time they played Jacksonville, they held the Jags to 3 points, got 6 sacks, and forced 3 fumbles (albeit they didn't recover any of them). And since Leftwich is out, you'd think they'd be a pretty good play.

As long as there is a thread, what about the Giants.. I can't believe one of the best fantasy D's this year isn't a good play against an eagles team w/o, McNab, Owens, Westbrook, and a team that allowed the seahawks to go bonkers. Its not just Plindsey who has them low but every matchup ranking place has them low as well. I have the Giants, Ravens, and Vikings Ds and was thinking of going Giants, but I don't get it.

Here's 6:
1. The Jags are the last AFC South team to defeat Indy.
2. They are playing at home.
3. Indy won in Week 2 of this year, 10-3, but it was one of their worst games of the season.
4. Jax is playing for a wild card spot.
5. The Jags simply do not turn the ball over.
6. The undefeated thing.

And what does any of that have to do with the Indy defense?

#5 is a decent point as it pertains to the defense...i don't know if it is statistically accurate or not...but I do know that garrard has yet to see a defense like this...it will be interesting. I think Indy is a decent play. not a top play this week...there are better matchups out there.

Link to PLindsey's Rankings

he has them as the 15th best play this week. I think they're slightly higher than that, but his rankings are usually very, very accurate.
