That's what I was referring to...thanks Bagel! I hadn't heard of it until the Minny homers from work were making fun of C-Pepp one night.

Wasn't there a QB named David Kriegg(sp) who used to play for the Seahacks? He had small hands but was a successful passing QB. And he also held the record for most fumbles by a QB, I think.

So I could see Smith having issues with fumbling, but I doubt that it would affect his passing. After all, it's not as if he didn't pass the ball well at Utah.

Yeah, Dave Krieg, short stint with the Bears....man could that guy fumble a football. He sucked. Bad. He did have a long, decent career though.

Yeah he was you moron... its a NCAA ball, not a NFL ball which is longer...
made by Wilson Sporting Goods Co. since 1941 It is an inflated rubber bladder filled with 12 1/2 to 13 1/2 pounds of air, covered with pebble grained leather (pigskin) of tan color. It is a prolate spheroid with a long axis of 11-11 1/4 inches and a circumgerence of 28-28 1/2 inches. It weighs 14-15 ounces. The ball bears the signature of the league commissioner.

NCAA ball:11.0 x 6.0 x 6.0 inches ; 1.2 pounds

Dennis is just writing an article

Postby Gamejockey99 » Wed Dec 14, 2005 2:47 pm

Dennis is a nice enough guy. prolly one of the more friendly but controversial beat writers of the niners, but Alex has no problem during practice with the ball, trust me, been to plenty of them, everyday over training camp and the beginning of the season. What he has is a problem with a new ball every time the offense gets on the field. Nolan isn't going to cover for his QB, he'll tell you straight up and then he'll tell you how he's going to fix it bc that's what he does.

Maybe you should get your facts before calling people morons

Wilson website wrote:What is the difference between a NCAA football and the NFL footballs? And what are the specification of both?

Answer
Both the NCAA and the NFL footballs have the same specifications. The specifications of these footballs are: Short Circumference: 20 3/4"- 21 1/4": Long Circumference 27 3/4 "- 28 1/2 "; Weight: approximately 14-15 oz.

I would just like to add, it's not how big it is, it's how many times you can get it up. ;-)
