What NFL team hold the record for the most consecutive shutouts in a row. How many times in a row they shutout another team.

Name the team, how many shutouts and the year they did it.

Hint: The streak started on their first game as a new franchise

7 straight shutouts by the 1934 Detroit Lions

They opened their franchise with 7 straight shutout wins.

Nov. 4, 1934 - An incredible streak finally came to an end when Pittsburgh scored the first points ever by an opponent. In the first seven games of Detroit's brief team history, the Lions had outscored their opposition by the unbelievable tally of 118-0.

Here's 2 links that show Akron with 13:

http://www.nfl.com/history/randf/records/team/gameswon

http://www.football.com/nfl/records/NFLTGamesWon.shtml

The record for most consecutive shutouts is at the very bottom of both links.
