Xbox Live Starter Kit Question

I got my little brother a $50 gift card to Best Buy and he immediatley said he wanted to get Xbox Live for his Xbox. Before he does this, I thought I'd ask a few questions I have about it here.

1. What does the Starter Kit include (he's going for the 3-month one)?

2. Does the kit include everything I need to help him hook it up?

3. We have Qwest DSL internet, should this be fast enough?

4. Is it easy to set up?
