Depending on the schedule(and Priest Holmes rehab), I think my top five 2006 draft board would look like this:
1: SA
2: LJ
3: LT
4: Edge
5:??
The #3 pick is a steal no matter who I get, and Edgerrin James is about as solid a #4 pick a FF could ask for.
The #5 pick is a little tricker. I may take a stud QB here. Manning probably, but I think Palmer could be worth a reach. If it's a 12 man league, there is no way Palmer Or Manning gets back to me.
What do you think? Is this a probable scenario?
Another RB (Barber?) could be a possible #5 but the value really plummets here. Who would you take at the #5?
This year him and Edge are pretty much even. So if Edge is making your top 5, Tiki should too.
Its after Tiki things will get dicey, Lamont Jordan, Steven Jackson, and several other will be candidates for chancy 1st round picks. Portis, Rudi, and McGahee will probably be competing for the tail end spots. None are deserving of top 5, so its gotta be Barber.
all I got to say is that if you have a top 3 pick next year than you have a HUGE advantage.. Amazing cutoff after that than basically after the top 5 you don't have 1 back that you can rely on a consistent basis. Way too many Question Marks IMO.
1: Alexander: He has been so consistent and gives owners 16 solid weeks 2: LT- I know people are down after his rotten Fantasy Playoffs performance, but a couple of things to consider. He was a little banged up and also the Chargers have had 1 crazy season. I think that this team will be much better next year and won't miss out on the playoffs.
3- LJ- from what I have seen I have been very impressed. You can't just double his stats from this year.. Still has to prove IMO that he can do it for a full year and I think he will
4- Edge- Very solid RB, but a level behind the top 3:
I agree 100000% that the top three next year wil be head and shoulders above the rest.
The Guru Cutler, Schaub, Thigpen Addai, Portis, Slaton, Rhodes, Ward B Marshall, Andre Johnson, Randy Moss, A. Bryant Cooley, Boss Prater Dolphins, Vikings
You can't guarantee much of anything until we see how some stuff plays out. For example, will Priest Holmes be back next year and what type of role will he play? Also, isn't Shaun Alexander still possibly leaving Seattle before the 2006 campaign -- wouldn't you have to factor in wherever he landed?
i can gauranttepe waht ever i want, i an the shiznit

The talk about "doubling" LJ's stats is stupid. Look at the # of carries he got, he's on pace with most other starting RB's. It's no like the guy could've carried 50 times a game.

1. LT 2. SA 3. LJ 4. Barber 5. James

They are talking about 2nd half stats alone....so if you double his 2nd half stats(equating a full 16 game season) he's had a monster year....but it's impossible to tell if LJ can handle a full year, however I'm pretty sure he can.....
My Top 5
1. SA...if he stays in Seattle w/ a great O-line and soft division
2. LT...he wasn't healthy these last few weeks...but he's the best RB imo
3. LJ...pending Priest's, Big Willie's retirement decisions
---------
4. Tiki...Coughlin needs to wise up and give Tiki goal-line duties instead of Jacobs
5. Depends on League settings....if it's standard, Edge...if it's PPR, Lamont....yes, I would take Lamont over Edge in a PPR and maybe even in a standard league
