Ref's Call in the Falcons Game

Postby echo8287 » Mon Dec 26, 2005 7:49 pm

Anyone watch the Falcons/Bucs game? Towards the end of the game the Falcons receiver (Jenkins) catchs the ball in the middle of the endzone, has control of the ball, takes 2 steps both in the end zone, falls down hits the ground (no player touchs him)still in the end zone, the ball comes out when he hits the ground and then they review it and call it a no catch no touchdown. Whats up with this, what the hell you gotta do to get a touchdown these days. That play SUCKED! The refs SUCK and instant reply SUCKS! David

If he didn't have control while taking those two steps, which was demonstrated in his dropping the ball on contact, then it's not a TD.

I guess that whining by Mora is becoming contagious.

The point was he DID have control of the ball> If you didn't see it you wouldn't know what I'm talking about. The dude caught the ball ,had control, brought the ball into his body ,was in the end zone the whole time, hit the ground and fumbled the ball when he hit the ground. The ref didn't even have a decent explanation. I'm not whinning about anything, the call sucked. David
