Well if the last guy who had the ball for michigan wasn't such an idiot, he would have lateralled it back to one of the two teammates behind him and michigan would have scored...it was quite an incredible play.

Yup, just watched the replay. What a moron. He was starting to run out of gas and decided he could win the game by shaking off multiple defenders and getting tackled out of bounds.

If he had run out of bounds vs. Ohio St. they would've had a shot at a Hail Mary. I'm not saying it would've worked, but he tried to be a hero and cost them their last (small) chance at winning that game.

That play was nuts. They only got down the field that far because Nebraska let up. Still all Ecker had to do was pitch it, then they would be in the endzone...
