With Wells out, who's this Morency guy?

Vernand Morency will start for the Texans at RB...all I know is he's a third round rookie out of Oklahoma State. I, like many others am strongly considering starting him, but I'd like to know if any of you guys know anything about him other than his name and college - which you may not have known 'til now.

sooner fan here. so i got pretty familiar with vernand. he's a speed back. he's got skills. he's not a game breaker or anything on the nfl level, because everybody has speed. i think he'll have a good day. seems like he was a solid receiver too. he may be a decent start but i would not expect 150 and multiple tds or anything.

Guessing you meant you wouldn't expect 150 and multiple TDs. Thanks, anyone else with some insight?

What I want to know is, is Morency a better start than Dunn, who is banged up and will see limited carries vs. CAR?

Seen him play a couple of snaps, pretty good running back. Will get 80-100 and a score.

Not much info around this guy

In a game that means a little over $1000 between finishing first and second, would you say he's worth a shot over trying to go with Kevin Jones?

I would. Kevin Jones shouldn't even be owned right now. Morency could have a good day against San Fransisco.

I would start him.

But I've been extremely lucky in starting rookie RBs this season. I started Marion Barber back when he had 130 yards and 2x tds and Gado when he had 100sh yards and 3 TDs.

But I would start him just because hes playing SF. Hell a few of the SF RB's would be a good start. Frank Gore or Maurice Hicks would actually be viable options this week.

It's come down to starting Venard Morency and Frank Gore as my running backs in the championship game...injuries have killed me in running backs!
