In today's "Week That Was", Glenn Colton wrote:
LaDainian Tomlinson: LT2 is not even on the injury list. Play him unless you want to be kicking yourself until next September.

Then, a few stanzas down in the same article, he wrote:
Denver at San Diego: Completely meaningless game for both teams. Ron Dayne may get significant carries as he is Denver’s most expendable running back. If they play him at all, San Diego will not overwork Tomlinson and his sore ribs. Avoid this game.

What do you make of this...which of these two scenarios is more accurate?

pretty simple. no one that has a job projecting fantasy football will ever tell you to sit LT2 unless he is doubtful or out. It's never wise to sit LT2...but he's just saying in a round about way, temper your expectations.

You're being awfully kind to this author. In one place he's saying be sure to play LT and in another to avoid this game and that LT may not play at all. That's not tempering expectations, that's writing worthless advice.
