What is YOUR New Year's "Fantasy" Resolution?

Guttpuppy once said that he hates it when people in the start/sit forum simply type a one word or one phrase answer to someone's question. That was my resolution for last season and it's been helpful to anyone who's read my posts in that forum. I'm much more detailed about who I think is the better start and the quality of those posts has shown to be a lot more helpful.

This season, I've been getting a lot of PM's about start/sit questions and I've had a hard time answering those questions in a speedy fashion. Usually it takes me a couple of days. I hope next season to speed up those answers and get people the assistance they need, faster. Another resolution of mine is to stop swearing. I don't cuss like a sailor, but I certainly should try to eliminate it from my vocabulary. It's really unecessary and doesn't make my conversations sound any better, so why do it?

A rookie. Going to lousy team. But. The future is here. Now.
Rookie or not, I'd only put S Alexander and LT ahead of him. And maybe not that. With Alexander in an '05 contract year, and the Chargers forever in trouble.

Seriously? Bold move, no doubt. I'm interested to hear more of your reasoning here.

Speaking strictly in fantasy terms, it used to be that you had several, fairly wide tiers at any given position each year.
Maybe 3 or 4 top-tier guys, 5 or 6 2nd-tier guys, a few 3d-tier and a whole pack of everybody else.

This has been eroding over the past several years, IMO.

I think right now there's 2 or 3 top guys, followed by a whole pack of guys that are all about the same fantasy value-wise.
The fall-off in value is now huge.
Much, much larger than it was just a few years ago.

With just one of those top guys, you can completely dominate your opponent at a position week after week.
And with one more, probably your league.

Pure talent is at a premium.
And Reggie Bush is one of those guys.
Even as a rookie.

My 2 cents.

I agree with your position, Wease, on having a dominant player. It's just my personal belief that Bush won't be that player coming right out of college. I think whichever team he goes to may have trouble figuring out where he's best fit to play, and if he goes to Houston, how many carries they'd give him. I'd love to have him on my team, but I wouldn't invest a first rounder in him. Too much risk for my liking.

If he goes to Houston, or SF, or any team so bad they've got the #1 pick ... and paid 1 gazillion dollars ...
Wouldn't he be about 75% of the offense?

1) Don't let the commish hold the draft after the first pre-season game when some starters haven't even been determined yet.

2) Try to steer clear of any players involved in a RBBC (especially Minny)

3) Continue to beat the crap out of the guys in my league for the third year in a row and take their $$$!
Doesn't it suck to get beat at Fantasy Football...by a girl?
